Action for Pharmacies: EU Exit Preparations

February 7, 2019

Professor Keith Willett, EU Exit Strategic Commander and Medical Director for Acute Care and Emergency Preparedness, has written to clinical commissioning group (CCG) and trust chief executives outlining the operational response that NHS England and NHS Improvement are undertaking at a national and regional level in preparation. Professor Willett’s letter also includes contact information for NHS organisations to use.

As part of the ‘no deal’ EU Exit preparations a significant amount of work has been carried out by NHS England, Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and partners. This letter from Keith Ridge, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, outlines the steps taken thus far to protect the continuity of supply for medicines.
